On June 19, 2012, Julian Paul Assange (Assange), founder and director of WikiLeaks , fled to the Ecuador embassy in London to seek political asylum there. The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom had dismissed his appeal against extradition to Sweden, where he faced allegations of sexual assault on two women . Assange had denied the allegation and reiterated that the charges were politically motivated to extradite him to the United States of America where he might be tried on espionage charges . WikiLeaks, an online media organization, claimed to publish credible information from various anonymous sources on its website. Over the years, the organization had published numerous confidential documents about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as more than 250,000 confidential US diplomatic communications which enraged Washington...
